Certificate of residence

The application for the certificate of residence (last realized stay in the territory of the Czech Republic) is submitted to the MOI offices. The issuing of the Certificate of residence is charged with the administrative fee that is equal to 50 CZK per each page that contains some text. The administrative fee has to be paid in a form of revenue stamps (kolky).

You can submit the application for the Certificate of residence (or the history of residence) to the MOI offices using the appropriate form. The time period for processing the application is 30 days. An issuance of the Certificate of residence (or the history of residence) is charged with the administrative fee that is equal to 50 CZK per each page that contains some text. The administrative fee has to be paid in a form of revenue stamps (kolky). The application can also be submitted by registered letter or via the MOI data box.

(Note: The MOI offices do not issue the Certificate of residence for the purposes of a marriage in the territory. Such certificate can be requested at the relevant Foreign Police office of the Czech Republic).

A certificate of residence (for example for another authority or institution) can be issued at one of more than 7 000 contact places of public administration, which are marked with a blue logo (for example at any Czech Post Office). Prove yourself with your residence permit document (ATTENTION! It must be an electronically readable document), ask for an "extract of data from the Population Register" and a confirmation will be issued to you on the spot.
