The MOI office in Rakovník will be closed on 31 May and 1 June 2012 due to relocation. You may turn to any other MOI office within your reach on these days. As of 4 June 2012, the Rakovník office will be located at Severní 2952, 272 01Kladno - Rozdělov. Their new telephone number is yet to be announced.
- IMPORTANT CHANGE: As of 1 March 2012, the validity of long-term visas issued by the MOI and Czech Embassies will be equal to the permitted time of stay in the Czech Republic. Read here.

The MOI would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Czech Post office located within the MOI office at Chodov, where it is currently possible to buy revenue stamps, will be closing down in the near future. We recommend purchasing revenue stamps elsewhere. The next nearest post office is located close to the Růže or Chodov shopping malls by the Chodov Metro station (Hráského 2231/25).

EU citizens are citizens of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland have similar rights as EU citizens.
EU citizens’ family members are family members of citizens of the above-listed countries, such as husband, wife or civil partner, children, parents, grandparents or any other family members specified by law. If you and your partner are not married or in a civil partnership, you must be able to show that you are in a durable relationship with each other.
Non-EU nationals are citizens of countries neither members of the EU, nor citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, nor their family members. The term used in legislation for this group is third country nationals.
