The requirements for an application for a visa for a stay of more than 90 days

(1) Together with the application for a visa for a stay of more than ninety days,  an alien  is required to submit the following:
a)a travel document;
b)a document confirming the purpose of the stay in the territory;
c)sufficient resources for the stay in the territory (Section 13);
d)a document confirming that accommodations have been secured for the period of the stay in the territory; and
e)photographs; this does not apply if a video image of the alien will be obtained;

(2) Together with the application for a visa for a stay of more than ninety days for the purpose of employment, an alien is required to submit the items specified in Subsections 1(a), 1(d) and 1(e). The alien is also required to submit a work permit or specify the reference number of the work permit application and the specific employment office with whom the application has been filed.  The foreigner does not have to submit a work permit or specify the reference number of the work permit application if, pursuant to special legal regulations, the performance of work activities is not conditional on a work permit.

(3) Together with the application for a visa for a stay of more than 90days for the purpose of research, a foreigner who holds a residence permit for the purposes of scientific research issued for the territory of another EU member state is required to submit:
a)the hosting agreement concluded with the research organization registered in the applicable member state;
b)the items specified in Subsections 1(a) and 1(e);
c)a written declaration provided by the research organization (Section 42f (1)) confirming the purpose of the foreigner’s stay in the territory; and
d)if so requested, the documents specified in Subsection 5.

(4) In the case of an application for a visa for a stay of more than 90 days for the purpose of enterprises performed according to special regulations, the obligation to submit a document confirming the purpose of the stay in the territory is considered as having been met if the foreigner specifies the reference number of the notification to perform a trade or the reference number of the application for a business license and the specific trade licensing office to which the notification or application was submitted.

(5) In addition, if requested to do so, a foreigner is required to submit the following together with the application for a visa for a stay of more than 90 days:
a)a document comparable to an extract from the Criminal Register as supporting materials for a clean criminal record (Section 174), which is issued by the country of which the foreigner  is a citizen as well as from all countries in which the alien resided uninterruptedly for a period of more that six months over the past three years or an honourable declaration in the event that the country in question does not issue this type of document; this document cannot be requested of a foreigner who is younger than fifteen years of age; and
b)a physician’s confirmation that the foreigner is not suffering from a critical disease; this confirmation can only be requested if there is a reasonable suspicion that the alien is suffering from a critical disease.

(6) Prior to the time that a visa for a stay of more than 90 days is granted, the foreigner is required to submit proof of travel health insurance for the period of the stay in the territory; this does not apply in the cases specified in Section 180i(2).
