The role of National Rapporteur has not been established in the Slovak Republic. There are no obstacles in establishing such role; it only seems inappropriate with respect to current institutional securing of combating human trafficking. The Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic does not consider the establishment of such role necessary.
However, in 2009 an Information Centre for Crime and Human Trafficking Prevention is to be established; it shall fulfill similar tasks as the National Rapporteur.
