1. Important notices

As of January 14th, 2021 (0:00), as a result of the reintroduction of border control at internal borders between Austria and Czechia, Austria will close some of the border-crossing points. The list of crossing points at which persons may cross the line between the countries is available here.

As of January 5th, 2021, the Ministry of Health Protective Measure regarding the entry of persons on the territory of the Czech Republic (pdf, 134 kB) is updated. Current conditions for travelling from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) introduced as a consequence of a new covid-19 variant are further extended. Each person travelling from the UK to the Czech Republic has to be in possession of a negative result of an antigen test or PCR test which has been performed in the UK no later than 72 hours before the departure, no matter which means of transport is used. After arrival there is an obligation to undergo PCR test at the earliest during the fifth to seventh day. Only international transport workers and persons transiting through the UK to the Czech Republic are excluded from above mentioned obligations. You can find more information here (pdf, 346 kB).

2. Entry into the territory of the Czech Republic
The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health (pdf, 140 kB). List of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 transmission is here (pdf, 43 kB). Information regarding entry to other countries is the responsibility of the embassies in the countries of destination and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Quarantine measures and RT-PCR test conditions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.
The activities of diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic are gradually resumed. Depending on the epidemiological situation, the conditions for entry into the Czech Republic will also be gradually relaxed.
