Changes in conditions for the entry and stay on the territory of the Czech Republic from 2011

The changes are stemming from an amendment to the Act on Residence of Foreign Nationals' in the Territory of the Czech Republic which entered into force on January 1, 2011. 

Anti-corruption Help Line

Ministry of Interior founded anti-corruption help line for foreigners. The help line has been launched on 6th December and is available on the telephone number 974 847 704. The price is the same as for fixed line. Help line is in service for notification of all forms of corruption that can foreigners meet, for example in permanent residence agendas.
 
An operator offers help in Czech or English language. The help line is available on Monday and Wednesday from 8 to 17 o’clock, on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 15 o’clock and on Friday from 8 to 14 o’clock. Except these working hours callers can leave a message on answering machine. Requests from answering machine are worked up on the following day. Recorded messages can be in all languages.
 
Launching the help line by the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy is part of the ministerial strategy of the fight against corruption.
 
“Establishment of the help line is a bad message for people who want to gain illegal advantage over foreigners. The Ministry of Interior is going to solve all announcements,” said the Minister of the Interior Radek John.
 
Corruption announcements relating to a member of Foreign Police Office are processed by Inspection of Police of the Czech Republic. Cases considering civil employees are solved by the Ministry of Interior or the Police of the Czech Republic.
